Prof. Hendrik Bluhm is an expert on spin-qubits and the head of the Quantum Technology Group (formerly II Institute of Physics C). His research activity is driven by the vision of developing a scalable quantum-computer architecture, and spans directions that go from improving qubit properties, to multi-qubit operations, to the development of dedicated software for measuring and tuning qubits.Together with Prof. D. DiVincenzo, he is co-director of the Peter Grünberg Institute PGI-11 at the Research Center Jülich.
