Research Interests
My research interests include mesoscopic physics, quantum transport, and superconductivity. As
physical systems, superconducting qubits and devices are at the intersection between all these fields. For
quantum technology applications, the goal is to understand the microscopic mechanisms that can
impair a device, such as decoherence processes in qubits - including the effects of
quasiparticles, stray photons, and phonons. Once these processes are understood, the next step is to try to devise
ways to improve the devices.
